Modern-day Filipino nationalism...

To all my readers, i am Robbie Bagatsing and i am just a first year high school student. I show my love for my country in many ways,  I am proud of my country no matter where I am. I show it by the Filipino value RESPECT. I put respect in everything, in listening, talking and praying. and I have more, but I just put them with examples.... well.... enjoy!

There are values that a Filipino has that shows his or her nationalism. You can feel their nationality in their values. one of it is independence. I've notice this ever since i watch game shows and Filipino rap battle. They all show how Filipinos are capable of handling themselves in times of battle. One good example of the past is the Cavite Mutiny of 1872, which lead the Filipinos to fight off the Spaniards.
Another value you may notice in the Filipinos are their strength, not depending on the wights they carry, but the way they hold on to the problems they feel burdened in. One good example is in the Hispanic era. No matter how much the Spaniards abuse the Filipinos, the Filipinos always had never gave up easily.

This this also relates to the way Filipino live their lives. No matter how heavy our problems might be, we always strive to get back up.
Other than values, Filipinos show their nationality by defending their fellow Filipinos in when harassed by others. An often example is most likely in school. Some students are often bullied by their fellow classmates in way of revenge or getting something they want. A relevant situation is back then when the Spaniards executed Fathers Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora, which later was called GomBurZa, The Filipinos realized that Spaniards were treating them unjustly, and it led Jose Rizal to write "Noli me tangere" and "el filibuterismo".

The three Priests: Gomez, Burgos, Zamora

We also have the part of us that tingles when we see a Filipino product in abroad, or mention the word “ Philippines” in international television in a positive way. I will admit, I do kind of have that feeling every once in a while. And I also do have the urge to buy Filipino products when I see it. We Filipinos have trust to our fellow brothers and sisters in the provinces when it comes to our every day food like rice and vegetables.

Now to make it all clear, we Filipinos have blood that urges us to be more nicer and friendlier to other people A.K.A  foreigners and our fellow Filipinos. We have that sense that defines our nationalism and devotion to the country. I might have related some examples to some past events, but that's because nationalism runs in our blood. It will go down by generation and it will define our nationalism. thank you and good day.....
